Djillali Liabes University (UDL) is located in Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria. It is locally known as Université Djillali Liabes. The university was established in 1978. It is accredited by Ministère de lEnseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique, Algérie. The latter is composed of six (06) Faculties: (Sciences, Law, Engineering Sciences, Medicine, Economics and Humanities) spread over 09 sites.

Applications of Plasma, Electrostatics and Electromagnetic Compatibility (APELEC) Laboratory is composed in majority by young researchers, 4 full professors and more than 20 researchers. The main fields of research are electrostatic applications in industrial separation of waste material, and in the environment for the treatment of gas and water by cold plasma. Cancer & environment Laboratory (LRCE) is composed of 4 full professors and 19 researchers in Medical and Biological sciences. The members of the lab present regularly their research in scientific journals and conferences, more than 100 articles & communications.
