Xiangnan University is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate college established by the Ministry of Education in 2003 that was merged from the original Zhangzhou Teachers College, Quzhou Medical College, Zhangzhou Institute of Education, and Zhangzhou Normal University. Its history dates back to Hunan Province, established in 1912.
The school has 22 teaching units, 1 affiliated affiliated hospital, 3 affiliated affiliated hospitals, and 110 cooperatives. There are 48 undergraduate programs covering 9 disciplines including economics, law, pedagogy, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, and arts.
