Windsor continues to stand out due to its affordability and an academic environment designed to welcome international students of diverse cultures. Windsor has successfully achieved and maintained this multicultural environment for more than a decade. Founded in 1998 on the island of St. Kitts, Windsor University School of Medicine provides broad medical education and academic support services designed to assist students in achieving their academic goals. The MD program at Windsor is a 10 semester course of study that consists of three semesters per calendar year. Semesters 1-4 arebasic sciences semesters that are completed at the university’s Saint Kitts campus. Semester 5 (Introduction to Clinical Medicine) is completed either at the Saint Kitts campus or at one of the university’s three clinical education campuses in the United States. Semesters 6-10 consist of 72 weeks of clinical clerkships that are completed at either Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital in Saint Kitts or hospitals in the United States. Windsor also offers a 3 semester pre-medical program for high school graduates who have not completed the necessary prerequisites for the MD program The St. Kitts campus of Windsor University School of Medicine has the same accreditation as those in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere, ensuring you retain the same opportunities when it comes time to apply for a residency or take your medical board exam in Canada, the USA, and other parts of the world. Windsor University School of Medicine offers academic scholarships in an effort to recognize the accomplishments of prospective or current students at our St. Kitts university. In memory of our founder and past president, Dr. Srinivas Gaddam, Windsor University School of Medicine has established an academic scholarship. Those students selected will receive $500 per basic science semester (applied to the tuition). Prospective students will receive this competitive scholarship based on an overall GPA of 3.2 from previous institution, interview, and submission of any application material (personal statement, letters of recommendation, etc.) This academic scholarship must be maintained with an overall GPA of 3.5 throughout the basic science curriculum. In order to fulfill the basic requirements for matriculation at Windsor University School of Medicine, applicants are required to be in possession of an undergraduate degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution. Physicians and surgeons are needed on every continent, in every country, and in the under-staffed hospitals of nearly every major city.
