The Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado was created 22 of September of 1962 by Executive Order No. 845, which provided for the establishment of the Experimental Center for Advanced Studies (CEDES) as the core and first stage of UCLA, in the Chair of Betancourt . It starts with three professional schools: Medicine (1963), Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (1964).Several years later the administration was included. The history of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of the Andes, is intimately linked to the very beginnings of the university, founded by Fray Juan Ramos de Lora on November 1, 1790, under the name of San Buenaventura Seminary of Merida of the Knights (Chalbaud, 1954). The Faculty of Medicine has remained open since 1928, fighting against adverse factors and free enemies that besiege it at every moment. The first doctor graduated in the Faculty of Medicine was the Bachiller Hemeterio Fornéz, a native of the town of Ejido. For the celebration of the centenary of the University, medical graduates did not reach 40 doctors and still functioned as a medical school (Chalbaud, 1954). Currently, the Faculty of Medicine has three schools: Medicine, Nursing and Nutrition and Dietetics, but also has geographical extensions in different states of the country: Tachira, Trujillo, Barinas and Portuguesa. It also has three Research Centers: Cardiovascular Research Center; Center of Physiology of the Heights; and Center of Psychological Investigations, which are of recognized national and international prestige. It also has two Laboratories and two Research Institutes: Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Laboratory with Epidemiological Base; Laboratory of Behavioral Physiology; and the Institute of Clinical Immunology. The Universidad de Oriente, Núcleo Anzoategui ( UDO Anzoategui ) is a Venezuelan public institution of higher education , which began its work on January 9 , 1963 as the “Technological Institute of the East”. Currently, some 17,000 undergraduate students and 500 postgraduate students are studying. It has two extensions, one is in the city of   Anaco  and the other in the city of  Cantaura  where courses are given for the use of the region. According to the Academic Ranking of Universities it is positioned in the 5th place among the main institutes of Venezuela. The Universidad de Oriente was created on November 21, 1958, through Decree Law No. 459 issued by the Governing Board chaired by Dr. Edgar Sanabria , being Minister of Education Dr. Rafael Pizani . On February 20, 1960, by Resolution of the University Council, the Nucleo de Anzoátegui of the Universidad de Oriente was created in Barcelona, ​​responding to the regional demands of professionals and technicians. This nucleus began its teaching activities on February 12, 1963, with the opening of the careers of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The founders and first and only professors of this Nucleus, originally conceived as Technological Institute of the East, were the Engineers Justo Marquez Muñoz Tébar and Humberto Antonorsi of Mechanical Engineering, Rafael Hernández Olivares of Electrical Engineering and Alberto Ochoa of Chemical Engineering In the second semester of 1974, the Núcleo de Anzoátegui was restructured, creating the Schools of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the School of Administrative Sciences, the School of Medicine and the Basic Studies Unit. Currently 14 races are taught at its headquarters in Barcelona. The extension of Anaco was created to offer careers in Public Accounting, Administration, Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering. The Organizing Committee of the Universidad de Oriente decided the creation of the Anzoátegui Nucleus, for which a team of engineers was formed, consisting of Mechanical Engineer Justo Marquez Muñoz Tébar graduated from the USA, who coordinated and administered it and at the same time of mechanical engineering career planning, Mr. Humberto Antonorsi with metallurgical engineering studies in Germany, Chemical Engineer Alberto Ochoa obviously in charge of the future career in Chemical Engineering and Electric Engineer Rafael Hernández Olivares with studies in Post graduate in France, in charge of electrical engineering. The Organizing Commission of the UDO had an agreement with the Government of France that a Franco Vdnezolano Vocational Training Center would be created in Puerto La Cruz for the training and specialization of technical personnel in electricity in Puerto La Cruz, for this purpose the Engineer Rafael Hernández Olivares coordinated with the Electricity of France in that Republic everything related to the creation of said Center. The Center started its activities in a place in what used to be called the black highway, now Avda. Municipal. In the same premises, the first class was given to a group of Chemical Engineering students from Cumaná. Later, a shed was rented on the same avenue where the classrooms, offices, etc. were temporarily installed, and mechanical and electrical engineering careers were started in addition to the already existing Chemical Engineer. At that time, steps were taken to obtain the land for the construction of the ITO with positive results, the name and symbols of the ITO are still preserved in the hill that adjoins those lands. The Anzoategui Nucleus of the Universidad de Oriente is located in the city of Barcelona , originally this land belonged to the periphery of the city but with the development of the conurbation between Lechería, Barcelona and Puerto La Cruz it became part of the geographical center of the same, the enclosure has an enviable location in a point of very easy access between the two main avenues of the city such as Av. Jorge Rodríguez and Av. Argimiro Gabaldon. It has more than 10 buildings, multiple sports areas, library , auditorium, university dining room. The student population comes from multiple locations throughout the eastern region due to the system of scholarships and assistantships that the university has to help students of humble origins. The core of Anzoategui has 3 main schools: Engineering and Applied Sciences, Health Sciences and Administrative Sciences as well as study and research centers. It also has an extension in the center-south region of the state.

Universidad de Oriente Escuela de Medicina, Nucleo de Bolivar, Venezuela

The Universidad de Oriente, Núcleo Bolívar (UDO Bolívar) is a Venezuelan public institution of higher education, which began its work on February 20 , 1960 by Resolution of the University Council, becoming since then the most important university reference in the south-east of the country. This university core begins its academic activities on January 8, 1962 with the Schools of Medicine and the School of Geology and Mines. In August of 1968 the Ministry of Education approves the creation of the Basic Courses, and already for January of 1969, it begins to its academic and administrative activities. In 1975, through Resolution 028-75, the University Council decreed the creation of the Experimental Unit of Puerto Ordaz , beginning its academic activities in 1976, under the supervision of the Academic Vice-Rector and later under the direction of the Deanery of the Bolivar Nucleus. The Management of the Nucleus is made up of the Nucleus Council, of which the main academic-administrative authorities and the representatives of professors and students form part of the university co-government body. The greater competence and responsibility in the decisions, has the Nucleus Council whose President is the Dean.

Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Centrales Rómulo Gallegos Escuela de Medicina, Venezuela

In 1975 , the Feasibility Commission was created for the creation of a University in Guárico State in Venezuela . In 1976, the Commission asked the Regional Executive for the cession of at least a thousand hectares of land belonging to the university city, an area that is under the beautiful mantle of Los Morros, a beautiful natural monument that dominates university spaces. The National Experimental University of the Central Plains  Rómulo  G allegos  was created on July 25 , 1977 under Presidential Decree of the then-called Republic of Venezuela . Its main campus is located in San Juan de los Morros , Guárico state , Venezuela , where the areas of: Health Sciences, Agronomy, Dentistry, Economics, Systems Engineering, (Engineering, Architecture and Technology) and Legal Sciences are located. and Policies. In 1990 the degree of Veterinary Medicine is approved. In December of 1992 the academic activities of the career of Odontology begin. In 1993 the academic activities of Medicine began. In 1993 the academic activities of Educational Sciences began. In 1994 the academic activities of Economic and Social Sciences began. In 2002, the academic activities of Systems Engineering began. In 2005 the academic activities of Legal Sciences and Policies began. Currently, a new classroom building is being built in the Faculty. This new building will undoubtedly decongest the current headquarters of the School of Medicine. The infrastructure has 18 classrooms, of which 15 will be used for academic activity, and the remaining three will be master classrooms. It should be noted that between the basement and the ground floor there will be eight laboratories, which will be used for the practices of Biochemistry, Histology, Parasitology;among other academic subjects. At present the extension of Medicine in the campus of Calabozo has more than 1500 students studying medicine. Here the students from the 1st year start their general medical practices in health centers where the professors of the university practice. The School of Dentistry of the UNERG, has currently developed infrastructural growths that benefit the student population, and also with this fact, it is established as one of the best Schools of Dentistry in terms of quality of study and student functioning in Venezuela. In 2008, the area inaugurated a new building, opening the new UNERG dentistry building. This means the possibility, not only of attending with greater quality and care to the patients who come to the clinics, but also to prepare the future professionals following the highest quality standards. It should also be noted that the X-ray room of the School of Dentistry will soon be inaugurated. That counted on an investment of almost 300 thousand strong bolivars, for the conditioning of the X-ray room and the acquisition of five X-ray and one Panoramic devices. Similarly, the X-ray room was built under the provisions of the Law in these cases, with respect to environmental safety and security for staff and students. Currently the area has five dental clinics, three for adult care and two for child care; counting with a total of 105 dental units for adults, and 30 units for children. After inaugurating the new building of the Dentistry Area, the inauguration of another dental clinic is planned, where some seventy new dental units will be placed. Beginning in 2009, the first cohort will begin at the Calabozo Campus with modern first class facilities. National Training Programs in Higher Education are defined as sets of studies and academic activities leading to degrees, degrees or certifications of higher education, created by the initiative of the National Executive, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Higher Education, designed in collaboration with one or more official higher education institutions, to be taught and accredited in different areas of the national territory, in the University Villages of Misión Sucre or in Higher Education Institutions, according to the strategic lines of the Economic and Social Development Plan of the nation. The NFPs are designed to grant the title of TSU in two years and the degree or Engineering in four years. NFPs allow certification of competences at the end of the first year of studies and are linked to Specializations and other postgraduate levels in the respective areas.

Universidad Nacional Experimental Francisco de Miranda Área de Ciencias de la Salud ,Venezuela

The Universidad Nacional Experimental Francisco de Miranda or UNEFM is a Venezuelan public institution of higher education based in the state of Falcón , founded in July 1977. Today it is one of the most recognized universities in the country. It has a newspaper, a radio station (Unefm 104.1 FM) and an open signal television channel (TV Unefm). Of the classrooms of the UNEFM have graduated (until 2005) 7510 professionals. In addition, the UNEFM has an agreement with the state-owned company PDVSA through which it offers its graduates the opportunity to start their work experience at the facilities of the  Amuay  and Cardón refineries .
