NEET UG – 2017 Application Open

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) राष्ट्रीय पात्रता व प्रवेश परीक्षा (यूजी)     As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2016 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2016, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2017 [NEET(UG)-2017] will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry. The NEET (UG)-2017 will be conducted on Sunday, the 7 th May, 2017. Common Services or Facilitation Centres

Candidates, mainly from the urban areas, are well versed with the technology of online submission of application form and without any help they are capable of submitting the application form online and 24×7. However, for providing support to candidates from rural areas who may otherwise find it difficult to submit the online application due to various constraints, CBSE is using the services of Common Services Centre, Ministry of I.T., Government of India under the Digital India initiatives of Hon’ble Prime Minister. The Common Services Centre (CSC) scheme is a part of the ambitious national e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of Government of India and is managed at each village panchayat level by a Village level entrepreneur (VLE). There are more than 2.4 lac Common Services Centres across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from rural areas in online submission of application form and payment of fee through e-wallet. What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in NEET-UG, 2017? • He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1styear MBBS/BDS Course. • The upper age limit for NEET-UG is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC category. For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) born on or between 08.05.1992 and 01.01.2001 For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC Category born on or between 08.05.1987 and 01.01.2001 • Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG)-2017. • The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at NEET-UG examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly to all the candidates.
